Connecting the past to the present using photographs and embroidery techniques in a mixed media fashion. Combine photographs and stitching with color, texture, and pattern to create a fresh approach to familiar mediums. This workshop will address materials, types of photographs to use or reproduce, as well as various stitches easily used by students. Participants will have the opportunity to try out techniques and start their own piece. Photographs will be provided or you may bring a copy of a photograph of your own (Just make sure it is printed on a heavy stock paper).
