This presentation will help new art teachers by explaining basic assessment methods in the art classroom at the elementary, secondary intro, and secondary advanced levels. Focus will be on the types of assessment, styles of rubrics, and practical suggestions for how to use assessment information for the benefit of the student and the teacher. This presentation will share assessment methods taught in the Art Education program of Ball State University.
