Have you been looking for a free drawing program that can be used on Chromebooks? Sketchpad may be the answer for you! Many students in our schools use Chromebook. We can expand our students' ideas of drawing and creating by introducing them to Sketchpad. This can be used in elementary and beyond. Students can receive an introduction with this program and then move on to other drawing programs and devices such as drawing tablets. Participants should Bring Their Own Device - iPad, Chromebook, etc.

The workshop will teach you how to get your students to apply the Elements & Principles of Art with a Rule of Thirds composition and create an artwork expressing emotions/feelings that represents them. (1st semester about summer, 2nd about school. Slideshows will be provided. In addition a showcase video will show the works created in Spring of 2024. The workshop can apply to all ages, but it is best with middle schoolers and older. Mixed media is encouraged. Participants can bring anything they would like to use.
